Asimov's Nightfall, it portrays the last few
moments a civilization will face before its new fate that is darkness. A group
scientists discovered that when this darkness comes, people where forced to
start fires or find a light source in order to drive away the darkness. They
show that if this kind of darkness happens in the civilization, it shows that
the civilization will be destroyed. Even with this darkness, civilization will
still stand despite of this darkness, but it is also a reminder that this
darkness can come anytime whether we are prepared for it or not.
